n.b. Today’s puzzle is a Sunday-sized 22×21 grid, which means that the clues may present above/below the puzzle in the solving applet, rather than on the side as per usual. Feel free to print the PDF or solve the .puz in AcrossLite if that would enhance your experience!

The important thing to remember as you solve this week’s crossword puzzle is that it comes to you via the renowned artist and activist Parker Higgins. He’s diligent, conscientious, creative, and good. And luckily for you, he’s on the market, as it were. And … that’s it. God, I hope Nabisco sees this one.

Thanks to the crossword gods and the ghost of Margaret Farrar for test solving today’s puzzle. Scroll down for thoughts and spoilers for “Let’s Split Dessert”.

Parker: What a pleasure to be back in the illustrious pages of Rossword Puzzles! This particular grid was a bear to get together but then such a delight to clue, and I’m very happy with how things turned out. I’ll be adding it to my published crossword list on my newly redesigned homepage over at https://parkerhiggins.net. If you’ve ever wondered what Ross’s friend Parker got up to while not making crosswords, go ahead and check it out!

Ross: Did you note how O. HENRY AWARDS, E.O. WILSON, and R.E.O. SPEEDWAGON maximally “crumble” our cookie? I knew you did.

Happy solving, friends.

  1. Nice puzzle. Before solving, however, shouldn’t I have been first presented with the option to Accept Cookies?
Re 71D, fun fact, IBM has not been the maker of PCs since 2005 – any “IBM” PC is now produced under a license agreement with Lenovo, which bought the IBM business then. (I probably abused the word “fun” in “fun fact”.)
